1. People that say "thank you."
2. Teenagers. They are smarter, kinder, funnier than they are often given credit for.
3. Hanging out with my little (34 year-old) sister on a Tuesday night, drinking beer, seeing Henry Rollins. She reminds me of the rock n roll in my life... and laughing at the same things... and saying the same things at the same time in the same voice.
4. When generosity and art meet, you have Aesthetic Outburst's 20 in 20 project. My kind of gal.
5. To be visited more often... I just love the concept and the execution of this thoughtful project..."A Collection Of is an excavation of people, places, things, animals, and ideas, updated daily by Stefani Greenwood and Gilda Davidian."
6. So very excited to be signed up to take this papercutting workshop with admired artist, Beatrice Coron in July!
7. Shamrockin' shake. Mint chocolate chip ice cream, milk, peppermint schnapps all blended together. Oh yum.

Bar baby, simple stew, fashion weeks, elephants, yet another soup recipe, people power, old sketchbooks
1. This past week, while I was off from work, I took some time to look through a bunch of my old sketchbooks. I have over 60 since 2000. There is some good stuff hidden away in those books on that shelf in our living room.
2. People power- Egypt, Libya, Tunis, Wisconsin. Inspiring.
3. Looking forward to making this bulghur and red lentil soup.
4. I have very much been enjoying Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen.
5. Fashion weeks. Last week: Milan. This week: Paris
6. Made and ate: simple farro and bean stew.
7. "Baby trashes bar in Las Palmas" made me laugh over and over again. (Thank you, Hil, and Hil's mom, Alyn!)
