A Prince, The Way, Irish soda bread, a snowy morn, Post Punk Kitchen, fire doodle, focal point

1. For the past two weeks home activities have been centered around our new wood stove: breakfasts, dinners, drawing, gazing at the fire...

2. A sitting- by- the- fire doodle.

3. What my sweetheart made us for dinner last night: Beet burgers and baked garlic and curry fries from Post Punk Kitchen and rum drinks... yum!

4. A beautiful snowy view on a Thursday morning (as I sat by the fire).

5. Irish soda bread and orange marmalade.

6. Watching "The Way" with my mom and grandfather which drew up some deep wonders within having been raised Catholic and my mom growing up with her family (as ex-pats) in Spain. Yes, rather Hallmark-ish but the connections to myself and my family were stirred in me. More than before, I want to walk it.

7. My mom adopted a beautiful 7 year old Siberian husky, Prince.

E.S.G., afternoon baths, All There Is, what to do while you are waiting for your song to be played, Green Lentil Soup, breakfast, chocolate

1. Handsomely packaged chocolate from Mast Brothers Chocolate- a Valentine's treat for my sweetheart- are being savored.

2. When I don't have to get up at 5am, I get to eat these kinds of things for breakfast. (Did I mention I am on vacation for the week?)

3. Really, have I not mentioned this amazing soup? Green lentil Soup with Curried Brown Butter from 101 cookbooks. It is incredibly delicious.

4. While I was cooking downstairs the other day, my 10 year old nephew was up in my studio making Katy Perry song requests to a radio station. The next morning, I found this on my work table- something to do while you wait for your song to be played:

5. The new book from StoryCorps: All There is: Love Stories from Story Corps. Listen here. Read here.

6. Hot, lavender baths at 1 in the afternoon ... because I'm on vacation.

7. I'm loving my new "E.S.G." radio station on Pandora which has been delivering a mix of The Clash, Serge Gainsbourg, and Sonic Youth as I work in the studio.

Perfect Sunday mornings, 385, Ruby, Richard, Option A/B, Rubi's, winter sill

1.Winter sill: paper white blossoms, a candle, a shell, stillness.

2. Hard milkshakes like vanilla rum and chocolate with cointreau (recently spotted at a favorite spot: Rubi's Coffee and Sandwiches, Great Barrington).

3. Birthday treats (favorite cupcakes, favorite flowers, a pot of chai awaiting me) with an "Option A" and "Option B" for the evening.

4. The opening reception for "In the Realm of the Senses," an exhibit in memory of a beloved professor, Richard Yarde, who greatly influenced and affirmed my teaching, art making, and life philosophies. Extraordinary.

5. Mom, with her new princess, my younger brother's baby, Ruby.

6. I have been enjoying the art married to bicycles and coffee blog that is 385: a blog of art + design + architecture.
