cyclocross fantasy, edge of sky, "chorizo" and chickpea soup, different light, espresso martinis, headbadge, Felice Varini

1. This is from a few months ago, my nephew standing in front of a mural by Felice Varini that amazed us. Brilliant. And situated right near a favorite spot to eat, Kitchen Zinc.

2. I bought this sweet necklace from the lovely Twitch and Whiskers at Twist yesterday. There was an abundance of bike imagery at the craft show. This here incorporates the love of bicycles in a more subtle way using the headbadge from a vintage bike.

3. Afterwards my beloved Twist companion and I headed to the Tunnel Bar for our post- shop tradition, espresso martinis.

4. Time fell back. The light is different when I get home.

5. In the autumn and winter, we love to make our vegetarian version of Nigella Lawson's Chorizo and Chickpea Soup.

6. I often walk by this and I love looking at it- the edge of the netting high up in the baseball field against a blue sky.

7. Cyclocross- what a super sport. If I were more inclined to be athletic, I would choose to do that- fast, outside, need a variety of physical skills (riding a bike, running while carrying a bike, running uphill with a bike). ...in my next life.
